BOOK YOUR FREE ROOF VISITCONTACT USMerritt Island sits between the Indian and Banana Rivers, surrounded by salt water on both sides. Our closest location is Melbourne.
Merritt Island is a peninsula, not a barrier island, and the difference shows up in the quote. It has salt exposure on both the Indian River and Banana River sides, but the interior sits far enough from open ocean that the 1,500-foot warranty line splits the island rather than covering it. It is also unincorporated, so permits go through Brevard County.
Florida code allows a new roof to be laid over one existing layer only. Two or more layers means a full tear off, and that single fact changes the price of a Merritt Island roof more than almost anything else. We check it before we quote, not after.
Insurers across Brevard County now push replacement at 15 to 20 years regardless of condition. A shingle roof reaches the end of its insurable life at roughly the same time it reaches the end of its physical life, which is the main reason Merritt Island homeowners look at metal.
Tell us what is going on with your roof and we will come look at it. No cost, no obligation, and a real person from our Merritt Island area crew, not a call centre.

Mickey was fantastic at all times. Very responsive to our needs. Hippo Roofing services went beyond what I thought it was gonna happen. Extremely satisfied. Very Professionals. One important thing I have to mention; there were no surprises or hidden fees with this company. They worked with the insurance company and I did not have to worry at all. We are extremely satisfied with our roof.
