Roofs for Lifeâ„¢. Every new Hippo roof includes the Roofs for Lifeâ„¢ plan. Headquarters schedules a complimentary roof inspection every five years for as long as you own the home, and you can call us anytime between inspections if something concerns you. The program covers inspections, not routine maintenance or repairs.
Atlas® Pinnacle® Sun shingles with Scotchgard™ Protector, installed as a complete Atlas Signature Select® system over a full self-adhered water barrier. 3M™ cool-roof granules reflect the sun’s heat instead of soaking it into your attic, and Scotchgard keeps the black algae streaks off for life.
And the part no other roofer in Brevard can offer: every HippoShield™ carries the Atlas Signature Select PRO warranty. That is 50 years of labor and materials from Atlas, non-prorated, tear-off and disposal included, and it transfers to the next owner of your home.
Our most basic roof is still an Atlas Signature Select system, and it still comes with Scotchgard. Pinnacle® Pristine shingles with Scotchgard™ Protector carry Atlas’s lifetime algae-resistance warranty against the black streaks that stain most Florida roofs within a few years. That coverage exists only when the matching Scotchgard™ hip and ridge cap goes on with the shingle, which is why we install the system cap on every roof rather than selling it as an upgrade.

Lifetime (50-year) labor and material from Hippo, on top of the metal supplier’s finish and substrate warranties, and a solar attic fan on every metal roof. Metal near salt or brackish water, which is most of Brevard, needs an annual fresh-water wash by a licensed roofer, receipts kept, as a condition of the supplier’s warranty. Hippo performs the wash.
Manufacturer’s warranty plus a 10-year Hippo labor guarantee, extendable when Hippo recoats the roof by the 10-year anniversary.
Wind is handled by the manufacturer’s wind warranty for your roof (130 mph for 15 years on HippoShield™ and HippoClassic™), and Hippo files that claim for you. Wind above the warranted speed, hail, impact and hurricane damage go to your homeowner’s policy. Florida gives you one year from the date of the storm to notify your carrier (Fla. Stat. 627.70132), so have the roof inspected early. We photograph the damage and give you a written estimate; whether to file is your decision, we do not adjust or negotiate claims, and your deductible is yours to pay.
Damage caused by animals, by anyone else working on the roof, by anything fastened to the roof (including solar panels) without our written permission, or by neglect. Leaks must be reported to us in writing within 10 business days of discovery.
Your Hippo guarantee does not transfer automatically. It transfers once: the new owner requests it within 30 days of the sale, pays a one-time transfer fee, declares any known deficiencies, and Hippo inspects the roof, attic and ceilings before giving written consent. Repair warranties do not transfer. Manufacturer coverage transfers on the manufacturer’s own terms, and we help the new owner file it.
