Roofing in Sebastian, Indian River County
Sebastian sits on the Indian River Lagoon at the top of Indian River County, and its neighborhoods, from the older homes near the riverfront and Sebastian Highlands to newer subdivisions west of US-1, are full of roofs installed in the 2000s building boom that are now due. Salt air off the lagoon reaches most of the city, so we specify aluminum on metal roofs close to the water. Hippo crews work Sebastian every week; it is not a special trip for us.
What we do in Sebastian

Frequently asked questions
Do you pull the roofing permit in Sebastian?
Yes. A re-roof is permitted work in Florida. Hippo pulls the permit through the City of Sebastian under our own license, CCC1331992, schedules the inspections and meets the inspector. You sign nothing at the building department.
What does a new roof cost in Sebastian?
It depends on size, pitch, roof type, and what we find on the deck. We give you a written price at the free roof visit, and for most shingle roofs we can also show you a metal price that lands close to the shingle number. See our roof cost page for what drives the price.
Is metal or shingle better for a Sebastian home?
Near the water in Sebastian, metal in aluminum is hard to beat for salt air and wind; further inland, either works well. We bring both prices and let you choose.
How fast can you get to a leak in Sebastian?
Call (321) 951-2500 and share with us what you are seeing. Active leaks and storm damage get priority, and our repair technicians run service calls across Indian River County every day.
