When hail hit Lisa Turner’s roof in Melbourne, she did what most Brevard homeowners do first: she called her insurance company and filed a claim. Then she called us to walk the roof with her. The claim was approved, the roof was replaced, and she left us a review I still smile at. Here is how a hail claim actually goes, from our side of it.

Why a storm claim moves slower than a regular replacement
On a retail job we measure, quote and schedule. On a claim, the insurance company has to agree on the scope of the damage and the payout before any work starts, and that takes time and documentation. Our part was to inspect the roof, photograph the hail damage, and put the scope in a written, itemized estimate so the claim had what it needed. Lisa’s part was to keep the claim moving with her insurance company. We stayed alongside her until the funds were approved.
One thing we are careful about, because Florida law is clear on it: we document and we build. Whether to file a claim is your decision with your insurance company, we do not interpret policies or adjust claims, and your deductible is yours to pay. Our roof insurance claims page spells out exactly what we do and do not do.
The new roof
Once the claim was approved, we replaced the roof with an architectural shingle in Glacier White. Same crew, same standards as any retail roof. The only difference is who is paying for it.

In Lisa’s words
Lisa left us a review afterward. She called the finished roof one that could “withstand 160 miles an hour plus winds” and said the whole company was “professional from my first call all the way through the process and final inspection.” That is Lisa’s own description of how the roof feels to live under, not a spec sheet, and it is exactly the kind of thing we want every storm claim to end with.
If you think you have storm damage
Hail damage is hard to see from the ground, and it does not get better with time. Book a free roof visit. We will photograph what we find and share it with you in writing, and what you do with that is up to you.
